New IT titles:
We have a continual need for engineering talent in the areas of systems, networking and storage. Our staffing and training approach allows us to meet those needs with both external and internal candidates; we provide role-specific training regardless of experience. To meet a new need, we will be hiring software-defined computing architects this year.
Fast ROI project:
To help support the rapid growth of our cloud computing environment, a cross-functional infrastructure automation team was able to quickly develop a mechanism for automated physical and virtual computing system deployment, significantly reducing the turnaround time required to expand our available computing capacity.
What's your boldest prediction for IT in the next five years?
BYOE -- bring your own everything. BYOD is a problem most of us are dealing with today, but as we look forward at the escalating impact consumerization has on corporate IT, it is clear it won't stop there. We have to prepare ourselves to support the connectivity of devices that don't exist yet.
