A recent example of your leadership style:
I am a strong advocate for people-oriented leadership. I am approachable, supportive and a good listener. Recently, a colleague approached me with a management challenge. The individual was searching for ways to elicit actionable outcomes from the staff. I provided concrete leadership tools for effectively motivating team members in a constructive manner.
A recent great deal from a vendor:
We recently negotiated a service-level agreement with a vendor to acquire additional support resources for one of our key services. By creating an agreement that benefited both parties, we were able to improve our services to the university as a whole.
A career highlight:
Mentoring females who show promise in becoming IT leaders. Although women have made gains in IT leadership, we are still under-represented at the top levels of large institutions. As a female IT leader, I take my personal responsibility for mentoring young women very seriously.
