- How are you turning your IT department into a services organization?
- By taking a long-term, strategic and business-focused approach to both the organization and our technologies. We have been endeavoring since I started at Amtrak to do the difficult work of changing the culture to a progressive, collaborative and high-performing team delivering transformational results to our growth-oriented business.
- What's your involvement in developing new products or services for your organization?
- My team and I partner closely with our business units to provide thought leadership and influence business strategies and products. In addition, we have submitted applications for several technology-related patents related to our e-ticketing and reservation system modernization project and have made proposals to other strategic rail partners to provide this technology service to them.
