- By using the data in our data warehouse, we were able to uncover several undiagnosed hypertension patients and begin treating them earlier in their disease development -- often at a much lower cost and certainly at a point where we could reduce greatly the debilitation for the patient that often results from untreated high blood pressure or hypertension.
- How are you building an IT department for the future?
- Engagement of our staff has been a focus over the past two years. We have increased education and training, offered flexible work hours and an increased our emphasis on recognition of real results. A recent organizationwide employee survey on satisfaction found that our department went from the bottom 20 percentile in 2010 to the No. 2 performing department in 2012.
