- I love one-on-one mentoring. While I actively participate in a formal mentoring program for IT executives, I love the informal opportunities. These may present themselves as offering advice on project portfolio management, facilitating for specific outcomes or building executive relationships. Growing people is what it's all about.
- Characteristic most important in an IT hire:
- Empathy is one of the most important traits that I look for when hiring. I believe it is important for an IT staff member to be able to put themselves in the shoes of their customers.
- A career highlight:
- I had the privilege of serving on the disaster team for a hospital during Hurricane Katrina. I learned so many positive lessons regarding teamwork, compassion and the capacity each individual has to rise to a difficult challenge.
