- What characteristic is most important to you in an IT hire?
- I look for people who love to learn and are willing to change based on that learning. We are in a business discipline that has different answers to the same question based on when it was asked.
- How do you make sure your most talented workers stay put?
- We challenge them. We engage them in helping us solve our businesses challenges, and then we ask that they make their solutions real.
- How do you evaluate emerging technologies?
- We spend a lot of time listening, learning and understanding the economics and then testing and evaluating the results. We also spend time looking at what others are doing in industries outside of our own to look for opportunities to use technologies in ways that haven't been tried in our own business.
