- I was asked to participate in the public sector meetings at the Nobel Prize proceedings of 2010 in Stockholm and Oslo. I delivered a speech on the Global Network University. This was a great honor and totally unanticipated.
- What's your boldest IT prediction?
- Brain power, an emerging form of global trade, will finally become monetized within Internet business models. This may begin in research universities, where multidisciplinary teams will form to solve complex problems under grant structures. It will continue beyond universities, into other areas where creativity can be leveraged for fair compensation.
- How do you evaluate emerging technologies?
- Conduct quick and agile pilots. It keeps the early stakes low, and the politics out of the equation. Involve end users early.
