Ticketmaster, Darktrace, Barclays and glh Hotels were among the big winners at The Techies 2016 last night, the inaugural edition of the awards to celebrate innovation, disruption and entrepreneurship across the UK technology scene. Scooping four awards including best place for developers to work, rock star developer, innovative team in financial services and The Techies 2016 Grand Prix award, Ticketmaster was honoured for its culture of support and development, as well as its commitment to change, driven from the bottom of the organisation upwards.
Customer project collaboration and team awards went to Natural Resources Wales, glh.Hotels, WAE, Dimension Data, Tradeshift, ClearScore and Nu Skin, while Ravn, Darktrace, ZeroLight, Secure Trading, and Mubaloo collected product gongs.
Barclays received with The Techies 2016 gong for best incubator with its Rise accelerator, while Orange Bus and Progress won web and mobile development prizes.
