Kordia has acquired Auckland-based cloud consultancy and container specialist Emerging Technology Partners, saying the move will augment its digital transformation capabilities.

Kordia said all Emerging Technology Partners personnel were being retained and key staff members Logan Ringland (GM of sales) and CTO Matt Green would remain as head of sales and head of cloud technology and delivery respectively.

Emerging Technology Partners is a Microsoft Azure Gold partner. It specialises in transitioning workloads to Azure and, according to Kordia, has notable skill in containerisation, microservices, application modernisation and DevOps practices.

Kordia CEO Scott Bartlett said every business needed to undertake digital migration to mitigate risk, manage infrastructure and succeed in the digital world, and with a track record of delivering complex and high-level cloud enablement projects Emerging Technology Partners would give Kordia specialist knowledge in enterprise digital transformation and enable it to better address customers’ holistic cloud requirements.

"We’ve seen increased demand from our customers for specialist support with their workload transformation,” he said. “This acquisition puts us in a better position to assist Kiwi businesses to execute their cloud strategy and complements our existing connectivity and cyber security offerings."
