Vivid Solutions videoconferencing added to TaaS panel

A videoconferencing service born out of the need for paediatricians at Auckland’s Starship Hospital to conduct video consultations with their patients throughout New Zealand has made it onto the government’s Telecommunications-as-a-Service (TaaS) pane.

Vivid Solutions says all New Zealand’s 20 district health boards use its services as do correctional facilities, social support groups and not-for-profit organisations.

It already provides services to the Department of Corrections and says it is now accredited to offer its services to more than 200 government agencies, without having to tender. It was one of a dozen IT services companies added in the panel’s latest expansion.

Chief executive Simon Hayden, said the company’s inclusion in the panel was a recognition of its ability to competitively deliver quality services, security and infrastructure to the public sector.
