Federal Election 2010: What the ICT industry wants

In the lead up to the Federal Election on 21 August, Computerworld Australia is collating all the policy desires of the ICT industry as described by representative bodies, analysts, and academia.

We feel it is important to not just know the respective parties' policies but to have access to the views of peers in order to make an informed decision come the time to vote.

Below are the policy commitment wish lists of our industry:

The Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA)

Australian Computer Society (ACS)

Electronic Frontiers Australia (EFA)

Internet Society of Australia (ISOC-AU)

Internet Industry Association (IIA)

Australian Industry Group

The Communications Alliance

Competitive Carrier’s Coalition (CCC)

The System Administrators Guild of Australia (SAGE-AU)

The Australian Telecommunications Users Group (ATUG)

Telecommunication analysts

IT analysts

What the ICT industry wants: Academia

We will be seeking to add more policy wish lists as we receive them. If there is a particular ICT-relevant organisation you would like to hear from on policy objectives, let us know in the comments below.
