BackOffice buys UK-based SAP specialist to grow big data business

US-based BackOffice Associates, a specialist in information governance and data migration services, has acquired UK-based SAP data services consultancy ENTOTA.

ENTOTA’s solutions in data migration, information governance, data integration and data warehousing will "further enhance BackOffice Associates’ data management solutions and expertise", as well as "deepen" its EMEA presence, said BackOffice.

David Booth, CEO of BackOffice, said: "BackOffice’s data solutions and services will be paired with ENTOTA’s scalable product set and extensive technical knowledge on SAP data services."

He said that as both companies have "strong partnerships" with SAP, BackOffice Associates and ENTOTA have been collaborating for more than a year with several joint customers.

The combined company says it is targeting firms wanting to "gain control over their data quality challenges", to "better leverage data to help drive growth".
ENTOTA’s Farnborough office will serve as the main BackOffice Associates headquarters for the EMEA region. ENTOTA’s employees have transferred to BackOffice.

The value of the acquisition has not been disclosed. ENTOTA was formed in 2010. Founded in 1996, BackOffice Associates has customers including Eli Lilly, Kraft and Graybar. BackOffice is headquartered in Massachusetts with additional offices in the US, Australia, Canada, Dubai, India and Singapore.
