Nokia to launch netbook

Nokia has consummated its new relationship with Microsoft by announcing the launch of its own Windows based, Nokia Booklet 3G.

Like other netbooks, the Nokia device will be powered by an Intel Atom processor, with Nokia claiming up to 12 hours of battery life from the10-inch HD ready display device.

The device weighs 1.25 kilograms, is around two centimeters thick and promises a range of connectivity options - including 3G/ HSPA and Wi-Fi.

Kai Oistamo, Nokia's Executive Vice President for Devices, said, "The Nokia Booklet 3G is a natural evolution for us.”

The netbook comes with an HDMI port for HD video out, a front facing camera for video calling, integrated Bluetooth and an easily accessible SD card reader.
