If you have a regular need to print or save web pages, Print Friendly & PDF is worth installing. Before you print a web page or transform it into a PDF, the extension lets you adjust font and image sizes; delete blocks of text, ads and images; and more. Some web content trips it up, however, especially when the page is highly graphical. For example, a map embedded in a New York Times travel article turned into pages of mostly white space when the article was converted into a PDF. Even so, Print Friendly & PDF gets the job done in most cases. PrintFriendly & PDF is free; donations are welcome.

Grammarly for Chrome
Current rating: 4.5 stars
Current number of users: 10 million+
Grammarly’s Chrome extension checks spelling and grammar on many websites where you enter text, including LinkedIn, Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, Gmail and (in beta mode) Google Docs. To use the extension, you’ll need to set up a Grammarly account, but it’s free and painless. If you sometimes get tripped up by “their,” “they’re” and “there,” this is the tool for you.
The free service should suffice for most people. But if you need more features, there’s Grammarly Premium ($140/year), which detects plagiarism and offers suggestions based on the writing style you’re targeting (such as academic).
RiteTag
Current rating: 4 stars
Current number of users: 28,000+
Successful social media marketing depends, in part, upon knowing the best hashtags to use in posts for maximum exposure. The RiteTag extension takes out some of the guesswork for you. After installing the extension and establishing an account, you can select images or text on web pages and right-click to access RiteTag. The extension will then suggest relevant hashtags to use. From there, you can click hashtags to get stats about how frequently they’ve been used in the past 24 hours.
RiteTag isn’t a free service, however — you get a free seven-day trial, but after that, it costs $49/year. But that’s extremely reasonable, given the value this simple, easy-to-use extension offers.
RiteTag suggests hashtags to use when you want to get attention on social media for your web content or someone else’s.
Awesome Screenshot
Current rating: 4.5 stars
Current number of users: 1.8 million+
Want to analyze what your competitors are doing on their websites or in online ads? Awesome Screenshot lives up to its name by making it delightfully easy to capture, mark up, and share screen grabs. Not only can you capture the part of a web page visible on your screen; you can also screenshot the entire page. You get plenty of controls and markup tools, such as the ability to add arrows and text boxes.
With the free plan, you can download screen shots directly to your computer or to Google Drive, and you can also capture screen video recordings of up to 30 seconds. The $2/month plan (for one user) is attractively priced, as it removes the time limitations on screen recordings, lets you upload screen grabs to Dropbox and Box, and access all annotation tools.
