This manufacturing company has multiple locations, and the quickest way to get documents to all of them is to spool the documents to print remotely at each site, reports a pilot fish in the loop.

"Users at each site had control of the spool files to determine when to print and when to delete," fish says.

"I got a call from a user indicating that none of the documents were available to print.

"I looked in the log and realized he had deleted the files.

"When I informed him of that, the response I got was 'No one told me I had to print the files before I deleted them.'

"I just stared at the phone for a couple of seconds before I could speak..."
