The Moth That Spawned Bug Was No Myth

I was very surprised to read Fred E. Brandli Jr.'s letter [Oct. 31] asserting that the Mark IV moth is a myth. A little research at the U.S. Navy's official history site sheds a little more light on the truth of the story. It turns out that the moth was on the Mark II computer, not the Mark IV. Perhaps this is the source of Brandli's confusion.
