Employees at Wheels, an automobile fleet leasing company in Des Plaines, Ill., are encouraged to be proactive in seeking out training, certification programs, and even undergraduate or graduate degree programs to further their career development. And for the most part, it's a free ride, courtesy of the company.

"Employees are never denied training opportunities," says Scott Jucovics, manager of IT-business operations. Wheels covers the full cost of certification programs and community college degrees and 75% of the cost of other college programs.

Wheels has a culture of inclusion; Jucovics explains that IT helps ensure that the business side of Wheels "is as responsive to clients' needs and as productive as possible. There is no 'us and them' mentality; we succeed or we fail as a group."
