Hewlett-Packard Co. on Monday introduced six new laptops aimed at small to large businesses. The changes are incremental, not innovative: faster Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, better touch-screen capabilities, brushed aluminum cases with sophisticated-sounding colors. But they should prove intriguing to companies that are in the market to upgrade their aging Windows XP hardware.

HP's first business tablet, the EliteBook 2740p

HP has had convertible tablet computers aimed at business users before. But they only offered pen-based input. The EliteBook 2740p is the first to offer pen input as well as the finger-based multi-touch of its consumer TouchSmart models. Its 12-inch, 1280x800 display comes in either backlit LED or an optional outdoor-optimized version.
