Apple Ink wins 2009 Neal Award

Congratulations to Seth Weintraub on his win of this year's Best blog at yesterday's Neal Awards. The judges mentioned the excellent use of video as one reason, among many, for the honor. I bet they loved the video of Seth snowblogging from the Alps.

Apple Ink wins Neal Award

This is a great addition to the 2008 Neal Award for Best blog that we picked up last year. Can we pull off a threepeat?

This year's competition was extremely tough. We were up against two great technology blogs. Mobile Workhorse by Al Sacco at our sister-publication, CIO, is a must read if you use a mobile device (and who doesn't). And I don't often miss Between The Lines by Larry Dignan even if he's not in the IDG family (yet?).

I got to ride home with another winner. Computerworld's Ellen Fanning picked up the Best online article or series award for Best Places to Work in IT 2008. Congratulations to the entire team: Ellen Fanning, Mari Keefe, Dawn Petersen, Kevin Gerich, Stephanie Faucher, Julia King, Robert L. Mitchell.   This series has been a Computerworld feature for nearly 20 years, but every year this team finds new ways to survey the nominees, calculate the winners and update the presentation for our readers.  It's the same, but better, every time.
