It's a few years ago, and this company is rolling out VPN access across all its sites, reports a pilot fish in the know.

"One of our European offices wanted to be able to connect via VPN," fish says. "My coworker worked with a user in the European office, but couldn't get the VPN working.

"After two hours of trying, he asked if the guy could get to anything on the Internet.

"The guy responded, 'Oh, we don't have Internet access here.'"
