At least she didn't plug a space heater into her UPS

Newly hired executive at this company has an office right next door to the IT help desk, and she's been asking the techs lots of questions, reports a pilot fish on the scene.

"After a rainy lunchtime, the executive comes in and asks us if we have a room full of warm computers and where it is located," fish says.

"When we ask why she needs to know about the server room, exec holds up a pair of used, wet socks and says, 'Do you mind if I dry these in there?'"
