Worst. Vacation. Ever.

CIOs and IT managers are notorious for not taking vacations, and there may be a sound logical explanation for that: the second they step out the office door and don sunscreen and shades, all heck seems to break loose. Data centers are consumed by floods, servers are taken down by DDoS attacks, key personnel quit, or worse, are fired -- leaving the hapless IT manager trying to fix things from afar. No wonder many tech execs opt to stay put.

For an upcoming feature story in Computerworld, share your tales of summer woe: tell us the worse thing that happened back at the office while you were out on vacation, and how you managed your staff from a distance. (We may e-mail you if you're willing to be quoted in our story.)
