People of Lava, a Swedish startup, have announced an Android-powered TV, dubbed 'Scandinavia'. Set to ship later this year, the HDTV resembles the AppleTV interface in many ways but adds additional features that Apple users have been after.
A few things that stick out immediately are:
The dashboard view, something that Apple has steered away from, both in its mobile products and its AppleTV. This view features icons very similar to apple's Calendar icon as well as weather that looks a bit less similar to Apple's weather widget
It has YouTube, just like AppleTV.
It has Google Maps (not sure how useful that is on a TV) but you never know...good for their hotel clients perhaps.

Perhaps the most interesting is the Application Market which theoretically should allow the Scandinavia to download any one of the thousands of apps at the Android Market, though it isn't certain how well these Apps, which were mostly designed for phones with a touch interface, will fare on a HDTV set.
The introductory model will have a 42-inch high-definition LED screen and cost between $2,700 and $3,400. Both 47 and 55-inch models should follow soon after.
