Staffers also get involved in community fundraisers such as the Heart Walk to benefit the American Heart Association, the Memory Walk to benefit the Alzheimer's Association, the Jingle Bell Run to benefit the Arthritis Association and the Adopt-a-School program. Employees with a minimum of 20 years of service are rewarded annually with $15 for each year served, a day off with pay, breakfast and lunch, and entertainment. Perfect attendance recognition: Any employee without an unscheduled absence during the previous six months is rewarded with a $100 bonus; in addition to the bonus, the employee is entered into a drawing for several grand prizes of $1,000. Also available are spot bonuses of up to $1,500 for individual employee performance, a $25 gas card given weekly to an employee within the department for exceptional work, and discounted tickets to professional hockey games. Eligible employees can receive reimbursement toward job-related degree programs of study at accredited institutions. In addition, the GRAD program provides free college tuition and books in select health care fields for eligible employees and their immediate family members in return for a two-year, full-time work commitment upon graduation. OhioHealth partners with local educational institutions for associate's, bachelor's and master's degree programs.
