Laptop design is set to change significantly. These concept notebooks point the way.

The Siafu concept notebook, designed for the blind by Jonathan Lucas, omits a display altogether. Images from applications and Web sites are converted into corresponding 3-D shapes on Siafu's surface. It can be used for reading a Braille newspaper, feeling the shape of someone's face or going over a tactile representation of a blueprint, for example.
