Computerworld - LANDesk Software in Salt Lake City today is announcing its LANDesk Management Suite 8, an upgrade that includes expanded inventory management and reporting tools. The suite includes Patch Manager 8, Server Manager 8, System Manager 8 and Handheld Manager 8. The single database in the suite is now scalable to 200,000 nodes.
Pricing is on a sliding scale, starting at $89 per node for orders of 10 nodes and at $80 per node for orders of 1,000.
Avaya Inc. in Basking Ridge, N.J., last week announced its Customer Interaction Suite, a group of contact-center products with features designed to help contact-center personnel manage state and national "do not call" registries, among other things. The software products are also integrated with industry-standard servers, increasing their support for VoiceXML and IP telephony applications, the company said.
Pricing and shipping information weren't disclosed.
And Network Physics Inc. in Mountain View, Calif., has announced an appliance to link network and systems performance to business services. The NP-2000 includes a new Business-Network Integration Engine designed to monitor all traffic flowing over a network and identify performance, use and routing concerns.
