Wireless brief: Telispark rolls out new suite
Computerworld -
In an effort to tailor applications to specific industries, Arlington, Va.-based Telispark Inc. said it will on Monday unveil a mobile application suite, Mobile QuickStart, aimed at utility and energy companies.
In addition, Telispark has joined with HP Services, a division of Hewlett-Packard Co., to provide a "client engagement" aspect to the rollout. HP Services will help customers that buy the product "formulate return on investment for mobile deployments," said Telispark.
The suite is intended to allow workers to track assets, manage resources and maintain regulatory compliance rather than having to wait to do that work back at the office. Business operations such as ERP, field service, supply chain and asset management are all enabled within the suite, according to a company statement.
Mobile QuickStart operates in a J2EE-compliant runtime environment.
