Companies have a growing portfolio of products and services to choose from when setting up remote workers. The technologies help address crucial issues relating to network access, security and backup. It's important to keep in mind, however, that many of the products are new and relatively untested, especially when it comes to large-scale implementations. Remember, too, that it's necessary to back up these technologies with strong usage policies to ensure secure home-user behavior.
