Computerworld - What difference does IT make in some of the biggest companies in America? To find out, we looked at the top U.S. corporations based on market capitalization and Fortune’s top 10 and ultimately chose eight humongous companies with some striking similarities and differences.

The Mega Eight have complex IT organizations with billion-dollar budgets and more employees than most companies. So we relied on the human element to focus each picture, presenting a CIO’s view of the challenges and triumphs that make these companies unique.
