Novell Inc. said today that it has agreed to acquire IT asset management company Tally Systems Corp. for an undisclosed sum in order to expand its ZENworks product line.
Lebanon, N.H.-based Tally Systems offers tools for discovery and inventory, license management and analysis of software usage and trends. Tally Systems said its products are licensed on more than 10 million PCs and 15,000 Web sites. It offers products with capabilities such as patch management, application self-healing and software deployment.
