If you'd like to follow along with our hands-on Power BI tutorial, you can download the data files below.
The data originally come from the U.S. Department of Transportation's Bureau of Transportation Statistics website.
The zipfile includes these files:
- 2015_06_ONTIME.csv, 2015_07_ONTIME.csv, 2015_08_ONTIME.csv, 2015_09_ONTIME.csv -- Files with U.S. flight on-time data for June, July, August and September 2015. Use these files if you'd like to try the data-wrangling portion of our Power BI tutorial.
- airlinecodes.csv -- A file with airline codes and airline names, also used in the hands-on tutorial.
- L_CARRIER_HISTORY.csv -- The original Dept. of Transportation data file of airlines and codes, including historical and other data. This is not used in the tutorial, but is here in case you'd like to wrangle that data yourself.
- summer15delays.csv -- Use this file if you don't want to go through the data-wrangling portion of the tutorial and would like to start right away with data visualization in Power BI.
