Is that what they said about Y2k testing too?

Consultant pilot fish goes to work for this big international company, and the first thing he's tasked with gives him a taste of what's to come.

"First assignment was to test a started task that rebooted the PC every Saturday night at midnight local time," says fish.

"The reason for the reboot was to enable the download of updates to the devices, which could not be done if the user was logged into the machine.

"I requested machines from the offsite data center and received them on a Monday. I changed the system clock to Saturday night local time, and proceeded with the testing successfully.

"Then I completed the documentation and submitted it to QA Management for review.

"The response: Not acceptable, as device was not tested on Saturday night. Results cannot be validated when done on Monday."
