This pilot fish works for a medium-size manufacturer where IT already has its hands more than full.

"Like many other companies, we have a busy, understaffed IT department," says fish. "I was taking a voice mail off the IT help line.

"A supervisor asked, 'Is there a microphone that could be hooked up to a user's computer with an interface to his monitor so he could see how loud he is talking while on the phone?'"
