Welcome to 'management by looking around'

It's a few years back, and this pilot fish has just gotten his first IT job.

"One of the departments I supported was a small call center," says fish. "We had configured a Windows PC with a screen reader for a blind user working there.

"One day, the supervisor called me over and said she didn't know what the user was trying to pull, pretending he was working when the monitor wasn't even on.

"I told her I would take care of it. I went over to the user, removed the monitor and took it away."
