User at a government contractor approaches this IT pilot fish to borrow some speakers for training -- which has fish a bit baffled.
"With our trending toward laptops and mostly built-in speakers, it's a bit of a strange request," says fish. "I asked, 'Why do you think you need speakers for training?'
"User replied, 'Because my computer says the training module is missing a plug-in. I figure speakers would make a good plug-in.'
"Investigation showed the user -- who was sitting in the company offices this day due to furlough -- was trying to log in with his on-site government ID. The corporate network was blocking most of his access, including corporate-training access. Another problem resolved."
