The computer room at this bank has the usual amount of noise you'd expect, and it's very familiar to this pilot fish, who end up in there at least once every day.

But this day is different. "The bank had a guy sitting there all day monitoring some critical system -- someone from a vendor," fish explains.

"One day I came in and found it a lot noisier than usual. One of the two big UPS units that powered all the computer systems was in full alarm due to a failure.

"The guy was there sitting at his desk, completely ignoring the alarm.

"I asked him why he didn't tell anyone about the alarm.

"He said it wasn't part of his job.

"I wonder -- if the room caught on fire..."
