Help desk pilot fish at this organization gets a request for help on an email problem -- which means he has to log through to an external provider.
"It appeared that when this user sent mail to a particular outside address, the messages were bouncing back," says fish. "I attached a full header log from one of the offending emails and fired off the job to be investigated.
"Came back the reply from their service desk:
From the error messages it seems that the user has tried to send the email multiple times which has most likely confused the network. Wilma will need to change her email settings accordingly so that there isn't too much traffic going through her IP address.
"The actual cause was later identified, which obviously was a great relief to the confused network."
