Robert Half Technology's annual Salary Guide for technology professionals, released this week, offers some interesting insights into which career tracks are rising and which are lagging. Want to know where you fit in? Here's the deal in a few, easy to parse snapshots.

The Salary Guide includes current and projected 2013 salary ranges for more than 70 IT positions ranging from CIO to desktop support analyst and shows where compensation is rising the fastest - and the slowest. The information is generated by reviewing placements for the first eight months of 2012, and through quarterly surveys conducted with CIOs. The report is organized into job groupings, so I sorted through and filtered the IT jobs data to create a visual overview of what's hot and what's not.  My summary below includes only the top 10 job titles for each category, so if you don't see your title or you want more detail you should check out the published Salary Guide.
