After months of waiting, anticipating, and maybe even salivating, Google's Android Gingerbread has finally arrived.

Google posted details about Android 2.3 on its Android Developers site early Monday morning. Here's the official video detailing Gingerbread's new features:

Android Gingerbread: The Nexus S 

In addition to today's Gingerbread news, Google officially unveiled its long-rumored Nexus S device, which will be the first phone to ship with Gingerbread. 

In the U.S., the Nexus S will go on sale at Best Buy starting December 16. It'll be available via T-Mobile for $529 unlocked or $199 with a two-year contract. In the U.K., the phone will be sold starting December 20 at Best Buy and Carphone Warhouse.
